General Information

The Texas State Intensive English (TSIE) Program is a non-credit program for students and professionals seeking to improve their English proficiency and communication skills.

You can select one of the two English Language Program (ESL) in-person tracks: 

  1. ESL Only
            You are not required to take any other university courses after the ESL Program.
  2. ESL + Undergraduate
               After you complete your ESL Program, you will progress into your bachelor's degree program with Texas State University

Who is TSIE For?

  • Adults who want to improve their English communication skills.
  • Students or professionals who want to advance in their English abilities for academic readiness, test preparation, self-improvement, and/or cultural integration.
  • Friends and family of Texas State students/staff who want to communicate better in English.
